The shutters hold tight, lovingly embracing to burden the night-
Stoke the fire high, dancing shadows keep the mind spry-
Lips pass a melody from old to new, stories that villains come to rue-

The shutters hold tight, lovingly embracing to burden the night-
Stoke the fire high, dancing shadows keep the mind spry-
Lips pass a melody from old to new, stories that villains come to rue-

...as we share a drink, a feast, and a laugh or two.

Nothing this evening from which to refrain, so, allow me a smile, and perhaps your name-

The flames crackle with spirit and spark, silhouetting our frames in the dark-

Together my hand will mimic your own, no longer elusive, no longer alone-

As here amongst friends we will share, the rarity of occasion and a loving affair.

////I hope you don't mind, I figured it was open to interpretation...I would still rather know how you chose to finish it? Thanks for sharing.
