    Maybe my eyes were too sober to comprehend.
    Maybe I should have never stopped drinking.
    Maybe I was foolish to see how far my soul would bend
    Before my mind was left alone with it's thinking.

    But goddamn if you didn't pound me like a drum
    And goddamn if you didn't set my heart on fire.
    Goddamn if you didn't make me smile that smile
    That revealed my body's aching desire...

    And honestly I can't wait to see you again
