    -------------------------------------------

The dark comes roiling in on waves
                    Of some obscuring sand.
                    Tonight has only
The absence of touching hands to remind
                    Me of our intimacies.

I adore you from this my abyss of one
                    More night spent waiting.
The space between us is to
                    Vast to name,
Though its gulf will be overcome
Tonight it is infinite in blue.

                    Even the stars hide
                    From my melancholy eyes.
                    I remain implacable.
It is you I swoon for.
This night may go on forever,
If so I will abide the end of time
                    And you.

Quite powerful stuff. You've become quite the romantic.
