If your heartache has taught you how to never feel completely loved, then I truly feel sorry for you.
I think it was said best in Meet Joe Black, where Anthony Hopkins said,
"I want you to get swept away out there. I want you to levitate. I want you to sing with rapture and dance like a Dervish.
Be deliriously happy or at least leave yourself open to be.
I know it's a cornball thing, but love is passion. Obsession. Someone you can't live without. I say fall head over heels. Find someone you can love like crazy, and who'll love you the same way back. How do you you find 'em? Well, you forget your head and you listen to your heart.
Because the truth is, honey, there's no sense living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love, well, you haven't lived a life at all. But you have to try, because if you haven't tried, you haven't lived."
You will never forget him, he helped make you who you are. But you can move forward. It will be difficult, but I know you can do it. And who knows, you may fall head over heels again. "Stay open. You never know, lightning could strike."
I guess the song is correct…breaking up is hard to do. It's even harder to deal with. We all go through this unfortunate time in life- When our hearts are torn apart by the marauder teeth of a former lover. The key is to face that pain head on and fight for a new day. And to realize that another, more suited, will come. One whose frame nestles perfectly with yours…a perfect amalgamation.
I feel this piece b/c I've lived this piece. You have, with great articulation, painted for us a scene that we all been in- a role we wish to never play again.
