    dotsOn the Importance of Writingdots
    -------------------------------------------

    What happens to the thoughts
    we don't write down?
    Those ideas
    brilliant, golden, shining
    only briefly illuminating the
    crushing darkness within...
    Where do they go?

    Are they forgotten amongst the
deep, buried in the bitter fragments
    of words better left unspoken?
Do they cry for help in their festering holes
waiting for the end of days?
    Perhaps they simply vanish
    when their time has come
blink out of existence as suddenly
    and quietly
    as they came.

    Or maybe
    each word we never say
    each idea we never share
    is stitched together
    and stowed away
    not in our heads
    but somewhere else;
    the fragments of all
bits and pieces of love and hate
become the patchwork of our very soul.

This is my only way of keeping record
of what is written on my own.

      ...each word we never say

become the patchwork of our very soul.

    Condensed even further:

    each word we never say
    is stitched together
    stowed away

    bits and pieces
    fragments all
the patchwork of our very soul

Congratulations on pointing out what many seem to forget: for every piece of writing that is a product of an artist; there are others that are the artist.

Just some thoughts on your thoughts.
