    dotsi didn't realize. dots
    -------------------------------------------

Was I so blinded that I created this illusion of love?
Was the need to be loved by you so strong that
My eye saw what really wasnít there?
Or did you fake it all so well?
But how can you fake that?
How can you fake the sparkle in your eyes
    When you would touch meÖ
How can you fake that look you gave
Me as if I was some precious jewel?
The way you closed your eyes as we kissed
and how they seemed to smile after
When did I fail to notice that the look
    You use to give meÖ
Turned into a look of pity.

Not sure about the ending it seems to diverge on a
Similar but different tangent. One that belies the premise
You base the first 2/3rd ' s of the poem on . That
this entire love affair was a deception from the beginning
I like that as a basis because I have been through it and
    These same thoughts are mine.

I enjoyed your poem. I especially loved the final three lines. Iím curious, was their a reason the whole poem was composed of questions? Iíve found that in times of despair Iím filled with questions and few answers. Therefore, this poem can be cathartic in some regards (I can relate to the feelings of the unknown and powerlessness). Was this your goal?
