Facing Death -------------------------------------------
She stands tall and proud
Her enemies before her
Her Warriors behind her
Blades battle ready
Unified as One
Their hearts and hands
Their blood and blades
Raised to the Phantom Queen, Morrigan
The air stilled beyond whisper
Her voice deadly soft
She immerses her blade in the ground
“The Earth runs with blood
Gives life through the dying
Hope through defeat
Born in each child crying
Into death each warrior sighing
We take of the land
To the land we return
Honour to the ancestors
The Tuatha de Dannan”
In an instant the silence roars
Battle cries ring out
She leads her Warriors into War.
What a vivid and wonderful way that you painted this picture through words! I am absolutely in love with the way you made the right use of words to convey this feeling of power and at the same time you can sense the sensuality of it. Wow.. truly a great piece. ~*~amber~*~

Oh, wow that was a perfect description. This is such an original topic, and the piece is entirely refreshing. For once there's nothing critical I can say (and I average over 100 words/ comment )
This inadvertantly made me feel as if I were right there in the long green grass hills of Scotland, watching this warrior..ess. I got the feeling of tension, and the power of a storm before a battle. Very innovative- very well written.
