    -------------------------------------------

    It’s sad
    your eyes are open,
but only enough to let the light in

I couldn’t cut you a smaller piece of cake

    You’re missing the big picture
take a repose and remove your hat
so that you may see all the sky

    the clouds are vast today
    in color and shape
the world flaunts its many textures

seize the time to expand your thoughts
cherish the augmentation of your being
remembering this euphoria will not last

    with your eyes open
there is also pain and suffering

It’s not directly caused by you
but you feel like you’re apart of the problem

at this point tender hearts either break or harden
there are moments when they stay soft
and reach out to reschedule another’s pain
for the next time they feel no cheer

The vast sky is now dampened with rain
It falls on your lashes defusing the light

there’s some beauty to its lie
but a lie it still feels like

I can’t put your eyes away

I’m here to see your payment
you don’t really want me to look away
as a tender heart betrays your day

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
