It’s hard sometimes to admit a failure.
To face the person staring back in the mirror.
To gather your pride, raise your voice
just loud enough to hear it.
To gulp down the guilt, the shame,
regain your spirit.
To nod silently at your own thought,
contemplating to share it.
If I speak it out loud, will I get turned down,
back away from the challenge and fear it?
Stumbling can be discouraging,
especially when running aimlessly
with no end to adhere it.
So what if you fall again
and some stick around in line
waiting to cheer it.
It’s the getting back up each time
that’s worth the caring.
