    He says that loving me
is like trying to embrace a mountain.

    Serene and beautiful
on my bright and blue days.

But in the dark of the night
    or at any moment,
    the avalanche may come,

    and all that peace,
    all of that beauty,

    will be replaced
    by something

    feral and wild.

This is one of my more favorite pieces I've seen on this site for a month or so. Truly, well done. This is something that I would want to share with my friends. Embracing a mountain would be hard anyway, but I like how you compare good to bad times. How the peace and serenity of a good day is blanketed by the night and a smothering avalanche of a bad one. So little can set off something as catastrophic and wild as an avalanche. You have to tread lightly- even though the mountains look so beautiful and and serene. I'll be checking out more of your work -- please keep up the great writing!

I find this well written and in a daulistic moodset between good moments and darker moods. The expected darker moods forbode a divide that is always close by and in a way threaten the joy of life. Well done.
