    -------------------------------------------

    a year passes.
    we are still

    locked
    together.

    forgiveness given
    only silently, my world made
of hands on clay, the spirit of this bay
washes over and calms my sense of never
    quite belonging and being
    afraid

of expiring before all deeds are done,
of sleeping when there are days
    to wish it would
    go on and on

    in forever moments
    of knowing there is
    no end

    unless you wish it
    in tranquility
    and devotion.

I like this best. I like this without the next line. But I'm sure that is a much different meaning than what you meant. Still, I like the idea of a the ocean being able to calm my sense of never . . .

This is beautifully written as is all your work always. It paints such a vivid picture.
