    -------------------------------------------

    The absence of light,
    Refusal to fight,
    Those born without the might,
    No urge or remorse,
Just meant to take up space,
Their path meant to bring only pain,
    Where there is always sunshine,
    They bring rain,
    The smiles they slice,
    And laughter they slit,
    But no blood is drawn,
    Only joy and freedom,
Eyes become dull as they pass by,
Thunder and hatred rolling in their eyes,
But covered well and disguised with light,
You can't see it until the fist has swung,
    The bulbs break,
    Hope is gone,
    You let them in,
    Now they won't leave,
    Their affection for you,
Only lasts if you do as they please,
    Off your pain they feed,
    Anger they thrive,
They don't want clear blue skies,
    But gray chaos,
Broken hearts rolled in shards of lost souls,
    You thought you knew them,
But how much do any of us really know?
    Close minded,
    Now minds blown,
    But the box of Pandora,
    You opened with the door,
    You let them in,
And they coaxed you with companionship,
    There is no escape,
No more praying for freedom from this,
    They took everything and left,
    Except for your last breath,
    Not because they care,
But because you serve a purpose,
As to why you're still sitting there,
    Taking the knife,
The lies and the smile of sanity long gone,
Is the question too difficult an answer for you to bear,
    They'll change you say,
A heart they'll grow one day,
    The wall will break,
You'll gain access and heal them,
But denial is what you are,
    In-confident and destroyed,
One day you'll see the truth,
    You were nothing to them,
Except for a gullible puppet masters toy,
    Now broken and trained,
What left do they have to gain?
    The answer is clear,
    Your pain,
    Your fear,
Run fast and far Take this heed,
Or your life will end in misery.
