If I could love you, and I will, still
in a way we will always be far from mastery,
moving farther from each other, like we are two loose ends
where the air is still heavy on our cheeks.
We are like a long morning, with the coffee still on the
    table

perhaps you are happy or perhaps
that soft silky bed of yours feels comfortable and in need of nothing
    you
with all the pleasures suspended while no ground
    awaits

You always have to go while my hand stays
grounded on the cup, a taste of roasted bean
    lingers
    I can't let you go.

I haven't been here for a while but it's always nice to read more from you.

I really like the ease and flow of this and how I can clearly picture each moment. Perfect for when you're alone contemplating love and life. The simple things.

    :)

I like that I can imagine a whole story off of this...so vague and not vague at all at the same time. <3

Intimate and thought provoking it reminds me that sometimes it is the flaw in the stone that holds a masters interest
until he is able to transcend limitations and coax a beauty beyond that perfection-alone may never attain
