    If I could love you, and I will, still
    in a way we will always be far from mastery,
    moving farther from each other, like we are two loose ends
    where the air is still heavy on our cheeks.
    We are like a long morning, with the coffee still on the
    table

    perhaps you are happy or perhaps
    that soft silky bed of yours feels comfortable and in need of nothing
    you
    with all the pleasures suspended while no ground
    awaits

    You always have to go while my hand stays
    grounded on the cup, a taste of roasted bean
    lingers
    I can't let you go.

      I haven't been here for a while but it's always nice to read more from you.

    I really like the ease and flow of this and how I can clearly picture each moment. Perfect for when you're alone contemplating love and life. The simple things.

      Intimate and thought provoking it reminds me that sometimes it is the flaw in the stone that holds a masters interest
