I very much enjoyed your last three lines and thought they would make a fine poem by themselves, but on the whole its good, nice phrasing and wordlplay, plus line-breaks add to it the way you have them.
indeed there are many ways to make a halo; many ways to atone for sins of days gone by; many ways to rewrite the past and yet...
this piece is beautiful. sad and longing but beautiful.
i adore that the sun shines on you just where you are... that youre not all doom and gloom because you have not "measured up"
I walked to places where you did not follow
Never felt alone but I did feel...
After time, after nourishment, afterthought
your line breaks are exquisite! seriously. the heaviness of SOMETHING... such a loaded word. and unexpected.
sometimes we cross paths with people who deeply impact our lives and then we walk together for a while and then our paths branch off and everyone responds to this differently.
some grieve. others get angry. you seem content in the choices you have been made and the cards you have been dealt which really is a wonderful thing.
so i know im not making much sense but i really like this piece. a master craftsman of words if i ever i saw one.
