    Description:
       Listening to Watsky
Figured i'd beat this theme to death
Realize im chasing a memory...but after eight months...what is there but memories? Im just stuck orbiting the idea.

    -------------------------------------------

    I'll gloss over your memory
    immortalize it
    before you were backwards
    escaping fate
    twisting just to shift
    the blame

    I'll remember our hearts
    as one rhythm two beats
in orbit of a sun flare
    eating meat counter fishes
    whipping up gourmet dishes
    watching reruns and wishing
    for something worth keeping

    Two hearts and they're bleeding
    still stitched together
    two lost sheep bleating
    too quick to forget
    the meaning

    Something sinister
    in your silence

Wish I wasn't at the tail end
    of this spiraling sorrow
    orbiting an idea

I'll remember when you called me Jay
miss you on the stormy days
    you used to fear

    I'll remember dorm rooms
    sweet drinks and starlight
when we used to own it
    in the moments distilled
    in parking garages
    smoky rooms
    all the good sex
    Lucky 13's razor cuts
    that quirk in every smile
so that I could smile too.

    Two hearts and they're bleeding
    still stitched together
    two lost sheep bleating
    too quick to forget
    the meaning

    Something dark
    in your defiance

    Wish I wasn't falling behind
    in this two step
    stuck stumbling

I'll remember when you called me Jimmy
like you were trying it out
    suiting it to your tongue

I'll remember your feet moving slowly
    under covers caressing yourself
    asleep

    I'll remember you naked
    bare to this earth
    straight out of the shower
    and glowing
    flowing with a window breeze
    owning yourself

    You are beautiful

I really like the progression of this piece. It was easy to digest with vivid imagery without going crazy in description. I can easily understand moment to moment as you paint a picture from memory of your time with this person. Thank you for sharing.
