    Description:
My mom was clearing up my desk and found three of my poems which I had written many years ago. Here is one of them - On my parents' wedding anniversary. A bit raw but I was very young, then.

    dotsOn This Daydots
    -------------------------------------------

On this day, God brings you together
On this day, He takes you by the hand
To change your lives entirely for the better
Just as in the beginning of time, He had planned.
It's for you to care for and nurture each other
With a love you will grow to understand.

    As you understand and realize
The worth of the love in which you grow
You will learn that true happiness lies
    In cherishing each other so.
You will see through each other's eyes
Love flow through life forever more.

Love will flow through every moment,
    Through simple little things.
    Through troubles, trials, tribulations,
    Through prosperity and peace
And each moment of your married life will bring.
New things to learn, new thoughts to share
New joys, new celebrations, through ups and downs
Keep your pledge to your vocation.

Life itself is a precious gift
To be lived by every passing day
It's for you to lead your daily life
So as to strengthen and uplift
Each other in times of pain and strife.
From now on, all you do and say
    Must mould your lives.
    For on this beautiful day
You're blessed as 'Husband and Wife'.

This is pretty good considering you were still young when you wrote this. Nice translation to your idea. Although the rhyme is a bit inconsistent but the message is there.
I hope your parents' marriage is prosperous til today.

    :)
