    -------------------------------------------

Three grey witches crossed an open field to me
A much littler me in a chipboard hut beneath the trees
One of them told me to say something rude, I think
    Then they all laughed
    and twisted altogether vapourish
With their knowing trees bowing knowingly

I cursed them all to rust
To the yellowing rot of factories
    To the very husk
and with the silk-rushing clouds as my witness
Their strange laughter had then soft-soothed
Down into a deeper, knowing hush

I would critique the line that says 'littler me' if I hadn't felt the vibes off this poem so thoroughly, but I did...so, it's perfect, actually. I wonder if you have any idea just how happy this poem makes me feel. It's eerie, like a nightmare on Halloween night, but it feels something like Hocus Pocus. I love it, so much. Thank you.
