rubric system/ just punch it in (let the machine do it)

how to survive the bleak cable call centers...basically you can't. just console yourself and know to leave it to chance.

    -------------------------------------------

we all gathered all penned up together
now it's obvious we're trapped birds in a cellar
the angst to put our heads together
butt our heads to make it through
and who really knew? they don't pay us out the tongue we know to raise it more

some swear the got it down, but I tell you that we see you too have hit the ground
survival it's a logical clearance to make way to keep up the appearance

they pray, they curse, they throw the faith & spells
the same way it has to go, whatever language that you need to know
they say, they moan. they worry the unknown
I'll take her advice that kept her hostage in the competitive machine
you dream of staying, but tomorrow your shattered plans make you dig hands deep in lint with nothing that they deemed

take me for instance, watched myself break all the rules that promised myself to keep it nice. but, this crying child blew plays and made it harder, a target with unnecessary harbors and just pretend you were gonna try to make it different than it's been

yes, the eyes of a fool surprised. not top dog anymore. they zone on the ill confidence that is overwhelming this ambitious new one. they will grab you if you fail and pull the cord will all the rest that measure down below their rubric distillers

they pray, they curse, they throw the faith & spells
the same way it has to go, whatever language that you need to know
they say, they moan. they worry the unknown
I'll take her advice that kept her hostage in the competitive machine
you dream of staying, but tomorrow your shattered plans make you dig hands deep in lint with nothing that they deemed

and now that you know and you're sure that you blew it.
stop there and wonder how tough it's to chew this.
they know what they want and decide on the truest form of all the system that sets up a star from a lot of lonelier, darker ones -that fall short of the glory- before the midnight sun humbles all within its space

You pray the values that you bleed
have not been tweaked with greed
    (barrel-chested greed)

    as bright eyed children pass
    like beaming shafts of glass
    or refugees on rafts

    whose wishes still seem real

Just a few thoughts on your thoughts.
