    dotsPast the Pastdots

Painful reminders of mistakes long since past
Memories of happiness gone, kicking my ass
Can not return to a state of bliss
Heart filled joy, sealed with a meaningless kiss
Can not turn back the hands of time
And regain what once was mine
To witness the truth every day
Longing for that perfectly worded day
Visions dance in my mind, and sing to my soul
Tears of sadness doth the wind constantly blow
Gone from my grasp, once held so tight
A feeling of completeness that felt so right
Hurt ad cry, my soul screams for relief
Trapped in a world of sorrow and disbelief
Can what was lost, return to heart
Or forever be done in by cupids dart
Linger and dwell I guess I remain
Bleeding heart my sheets are stained
Nothing said can reverse what is now
Reverse polarities, some way some how
Sleep in tears, to my pillow I fall
Because I thought I knew it all
But a lesson I have since learned
And all it took was to get burned.

Very intense, and riddled with supported uncertainty.
"Tears of sadness doth the wind constantly blow"
That line really stood out to me, the words you used just really painted and described your emotion. Reminds me of The Tempest by Shakespeare.
Don't fall into the void that is the past! I hope all will be clear in time for you, and wish you the best!
A good read, however. Always surprises me that when in dire circumstance we're able to generate such good work!

      lessons come so painful slow
hard to learn and burn with growth
    petrified and in this stance
life just has that tip toe dance
and how are we to get a chance
when death has hateful outstretched hands?
maybe kinda hazy but still we could see
drive down the road when we know how to weave
take the time to find belief
that there's something past the grief
