dotsa new leaf to turn overdots
    -------------------------------------------

As I sit and ponder the last hours of this year,
I realise that each of us present still possesses
The inner capacity to be leaf turners:
Whatever may come, whichever direction we choose,
We have been, all of us given, a new leaf to turn.
It may as well turn out more than a mere leaf of a calendar.

Thanks for that . Sometimes we forget that we can change, sometimes in little ways that are just as important in the day to day as the big things. In a street devoid of trees, have you every wondered how many have looked at that same leaf?
Hope this is a great year!

I'm not sure what you mean by leaf here...I like where you were going with this but the fact I'm not sure what you were trying to say using the word leaf, made this piece just "meh" to me. I can think of a word or two each time you use the word "leaf" that I would have used in place of, but it wouldn't have the neat repetition scheme behind it. I use this technique as well, it's fun to use if it's done correctly. Also, I have one spelling error I would like to address:

    *realize, not realise.

Keep writing, I can see potential and would like to read more from you.
