    Description:
Just a little piece I conjured up in regards to the new year and the past one that's just left us!
Times may be pleasant, may be tragic, but the unknown is upon us now and we must live for that presently!

    Clouded sunlight through the pane
Awakens me with soft light's glow
    Nostalgia dreams, outside, light rain
A year so fond I've come to know.

    Dreams of cities, mountains, traveled
    Perceived perspectives grow, unraveled.

Loved ones, friends, in close connection
    Times of gallant self-reflection.

    Those escaped from fixéd death
Its blessing found through cherished breath.

    Finally dreams with prime pursuit
    For nostalgia dreams deny repute.

    Brightened sunlight through the pane
    Awakens me with pleasant cheer
Nostalgia dreams are meant to feign
So here's to have a grand new year!

Another beautifully flowing poem and interesting structure. Very vibrant depiction of a person pondering upon the years' beautiful recollections, closing the chapter of last year with positive thinking, and opening the door to the new year, new possibilities, new adventures with resuscitated vigor, hope, ambition, determination.

Beautifully written. It seems to have such a happy tone to it and flowed very nicely. You must have had a good year haha
