    dotsLost Sea Turtledots

Along the beach on the wet sand
A sea turtle had washed ashore
But it was not an accident
The sea was not home anymore
She could not stand the water's depth
The salt was just too much
Waiting for the nasty old sharks
They'd give her shell a crunch
A crab walked over to the shell
Of the turtle who was all alone
He asked what she was doing
And she said that she didn't know
The crab offered her some help
She paused then accepted his offer
But then he pinched her and ran off
To help, he didn't even bother
The sea turtle crawled far away
She reached a patch of grass
    Something caught around her neck
It was some sort of trash
A garbage can was on her left
And a busy road on her right
A flock of hungry seagulls dove
They wanted to start a fight
But she was not the food for birds
Though she did smell of the sea
She knew she wasn't a fish
And asked "Why would they pick on me?"
The sea turtle continued her journey
    Her destination was unknown
    The more she was bombarded
The more her shell had overgrown
    Nobody seemed to notice
    A sea turtle wandering around
They just walked all over her
Until her dirty shell was found
A random man had picked her up
Went to his car and turned the key
Arrived at the very same beach and then
Threw her right back in the sea

...and I ponder what had gone through this random man's head
as he threw a turtle's shell back into the sea
    at all.

    How would you feel
    if during a self-resuscitation
somebody take hold of your physical body
and suppress what you'd been relieving?

    Pompous fool.
