    -------------------------------------------

I will stand strong in the Lord,
    The centre is solid
    But around the edges
I am like a wibbling jelly.
Why am I holding to the Jelly
And not clinging to the rock?
    Tut!
    Let me hear the word
    Upon the rock
So it can speak to me
    Of Truth
    And I will falter not.
    For the rock is unmoveable
    And will not change.
    It holds me
    As I hold to it.
I rest my cheek against it
    And to my surprise
    It’s warm not cold.
    Cool not hot.
A limpet clings to the rock
    And through crashing waves
    And violent storms
    It is not removed.
    It is not washed away.
It is not tossed in the waves.
    Or smashed upon the rock.
    It is completely confident
    And utterly safe.
    In its position.
Make a limpet of me, Lord.
    Let me stick to you.
