The fake light of a phone,
reading the fake life's of others.
    Friends with the unfriendly.
    Watching nervously,
caring for the sharing and likes.
Thumbs up means you own the world.
One faint click makes or breaks your day.
    The feed feeding your insecurities.
    You barely look at me.
    I ask, " How's your day?"
The electric glow dims your look,
" My day's fine according to Facebook."

I'm at the mercy of the masses
a dozen strangers doused my flame
    ten million faceless fluid clones
plankton all in search of fame...

Just a few thoughts on yours.

This brings to mind the allegory of the two people walking down the street together who aren't talking to each other but rather they're texting each other phones in hand. Where will it stop???

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
