    Don't fight sleep,
    eye lids are weak.
    Blanket your mind
    with the dusts of time.
    Little boy,
    find sleep.
    Don't peep
    through golden lids.
    Let the night take you,
    where you belong.
    Under the weight
    of the day.
    Let your soul rest
in the shadow of your eyes.
    Soft darkness caress
    tiny feet.
    I will wait
    til morning,
    to see your smile
    and start our fight again.

Sleep knits the ravelled sleeve of care, a refuge from the day.

Oh morpheus, I call upon you when I am troubled at night, when the night is tumultuous and I look out the window into the calm of the street and see that you Morpheus dance in the street at night.

Hard to believe I know that a whole Capital City of Continent goes to sleep at night, but I am a witness, a surprised witness, that the Capital of Oz is so vibrant and busy during the day, but everything seems to stop at night, while the street lights burn to heaven, the trees darken, and the birds, ah the birds, fall silent in the face of Morpheus.

Like the birds I fall under the spell of Morpheus during the night and waken to glorious birdsong in the morning.

Putting the little one to bed or getting in touch with that inner child? Either way the struggle is real. For me I have a five year old and a seven month old to put to sleep every night.
