    dotsAmerica: The Forfeited Dreamdots
    -------------------------------------------

I've lived on nearly every continent
experience has taught me a bit
    Seen people from all sides
    working for future's prize
But when I was young and gullible
and other points of views were inaudible
I thought that color was the curse
That made my country's progress inert
They aren't the reasons our values died
It hurt to find out everybody lied
This was much to my surprise
It I changed how I feel inside
So I state this without out lapse
    But the "black crime collapse"
    is exclusive to American habitats
    The question that this implies
"Whose responsible for the behavior we decide"
    Perhaps is patriotism was revived
we wouldn't stab at our own eye
Look at the practices we condone
We are responsible for all our own
All of us human beings with a soul
We must not forget what we have sold
Yet we divide into different factions
as if race dictates our actions
    Americans in the cabinet,
    but outside just an asterisk?....

I remember when I was taught in school about patriotism and then when it faded. The focus totally shifted, good teachers tried to keep it but the media and the consumerism and the lack of unity that you describe keep people so distracted that there is not much pride to be found. Race is a big issue where I live, here in the good ol south. Dispute the overall surface mask that this country wears I will forever have faith as long as I see people coming together on the grounds of being human and alive. It exists and I sincerely hope it continues to grow from within so that the greatest challenges can be overcome an the high ideals set for us as a country can be embraced. I mean, all we are saying is give peace a chance. ✌😊

I like the provocativeness that you have going on here. Way to get an audience thinking. Well said.

It's quite interesting to look at our culture from a more global view. I've traveled abroad and have friends in different parts of the world also. Why are we inundating our progeny with the ideas that are counterproductive to patriotism? I'm not sure that it's just one culture, but children hold little pride in our flag and what it stands for and the blood that it cost to create it. What will it take to recreate a feeling of national unity?
I fear we are tilting at windmills.
