    The fallen and the falling down.
    Trapped within this cycle of body and mind.
    Only a pin prick of light will shine / be seen.
    Hear the pulse of the world as it passes by.
    Trapped within this depraved hole and cold.
    This place built inside of---you.

    The bled and the bleeding out.
    Beaten by contemptuous beating hearts.
    Reaching for a hand to surface once more---praying.
    Inevitable the invisible hand of solitude pulls under.
    Beaten by maligned plotting minds.
    This place built inside of---you.

    As you fall; as you tumble.
    Forget that last glimpse of sunrise---
    hold close the light of the soul,
    shining through prison at night---

    Maybe someday you’ll understand just why---
    Why you’re so divided in mind.

    All too soon you’ll come,
    Face to face with the darkest part of time.

    This is where you’ll find yourself, standing with closed eyes;
    Forever locked away in this,
    Your oubliette.
