The most free I have ever felt
Was running naked on the beach
Skinny dipping In The great Atlantic.
Without a care in the world no thoughts
Of what if.
Bare, swimming under the moonlight
Being Young and wanderlust.
Pulling me towards you
Such an unannounced rendezvous.
Floating in the sea.
Life guard stands no longer
stand alone at night.
Not after .......
The view of the horizon.
The hues of the blues.
The waves crashing in and out
like our emotions .
As the stars shined down
Our footprints left behind.
I looked back and took note
Of what our path looked like.
Our prints side by side
Just for that one night.
"Two pods in a pea."
At the end of it all
I do believe
It went like :
"Why you'd have to go and let it die."
Years later, completely unexpected
This story meets my ears.
While my brother standing near.
The gentleman said "he loved living at the sea
And that I wouldn't believe what sights he has seen."
I pointed out his binoculars and asked if he was a creeper,
He continued to describe my memories to me.
Afterwards he asked if I still wanted the lease.
"Without a care of what if......."
