    dots Rendezvous dots

    Blinded by fear
Yet underneath the shadowy canopy of that great giant
    There was light

    When I was a child
You were the answered prayer of my heart
I did not know my voice ir yours
I did not know you were holding on to my hand

Deafened by the outward banter of the great critic
Singing to me in the careless avenues distributed on profit and groove
Half truths hidden in lyrics, scripts and fairy tales
    I was seduced

    Though Jealous,
    You watched
    A stoic
    Divine character
    You never moved
Your embrace held me even when I did not feel your warmth
But reached out for the affectionate embrace of idolatry
    And I was ignorant
    And you were graceful

You whispered to me as death took from my family
    On a bed of cancer,
    Another drag of a cigarette
And only you know what industrial murders
    Alcohol, Needles, Pills, Powders
    All playing their hand

You will not let this life be a gamble
    Or a game
    Every enemy that I face
    I sort of see
    At least now
    Before me
    Advocating Justice
    Shielding the blows
    Healing each wound,
    And again when conditions arise
    Providing when robbed and cheated

So literally and physically and emotionally
    You are there
And it is a wonder I still pout about a cloudy day

I look at this and then want to examine my own faith. Is it odd that I rarely write about it when I write about everything else in my life? Belief and Faith are strange things are they not? We stamp our feet and want God to respond, even when we act as if there was no heaven. Your writing has become very focused here, but it's not in a way that make people think, "Here she goes again, preaching." Because that is not what you are doing. This is real. It's from someone who traveled down the road, thinking they were alone, only to find there was always a hand there, sometimes we just don't see it or ignore it. You always make me stop and examine my own life. That's a good thing.
