    -------------------------------------------

And they all have their opinions
In this "I don't have to see you face to face" world

"March on you silly little dime."

Explore the complexities of lacking luster
    As everything around you shines

    A penny for your thoughts?

A quarter of your life given to self strangulation
    Crying through your mental masturbation

Haven't the gothic kids grown up yet?

Can't rule the world with despair
Can't evolve with only one emotion

    Can't capture understanding
If you're too afraid to drink

"Your parents would have used a condom
If they knew you'd be like this"

This passage is fraught with negativity. Whom are you writing about? Someone you know? Yourself? Are you voicing your own pain about your own personal barriers? Your own distaste of the lack of evolution in the "evolving society"?

Perhaps a thought on the depiction of this age... we are our parents' children. Conformity has been taught to us subconsciously, and the subconscious is a very hard prison to escape. What to wear, how to act, WHEN, to act. The laziness of our forbears has given us our lack of luster to be the black sheep in the world. If only we had been born of a different age.
