These hours pass so slowly,
But the one thing i had noticed.
Was that she was twice as lost,
But not nearly half as focused.
So we narrow down the problems,
And come up with solutions.
But the answers that we find,
Involve consuming more pollution.
And these bottles call our names,
Marking X's through attendance.
An alcoholic haunting,
While we transgress through the ascendance.
We switch from glass to plastic,
The bottles become containers.
We recite these "scripts" as if we were comedic entertainers.
Daylight brings the sneaking in of sunbeams through the blinds.
Disregarding time we glance into each other's eyes and sigh.
I know she's feeling good,
I know exactly where it's from.
She's just like me 2000 mills,
And about 50 shots of rum.
And now she's focused like I'm focused,
Concentrating just to breathe.
Last time was the last time,
So why's she still spending time with me?
Maybe we're both just so damn broken,
When we're together it's like stitches.
And when we transcend through pain together,
We look past these lethal conditions.
