    Forgiveness, the highest virtue.

    Forgiveness brings peace and poise.
    Forgiveness brings happiness and blessings.
    Forgiveness brings graciousness and grace.
    Forgiveness brings serenity.

Forgiveness is exalted and elated state.
    Forgiveness is enlightenment.
    Forgiveness is divinity.

forgiveness is something that I am a little uneasy with. Maybe because i've been blessed by so many from my loved ones. Sometimes I feel a little undeserving of it.

Some have told me that it's fine to accept it. Though I feel at times that I'm abusing everytime I make a mistake. Mistakes that I am trying to fix. And maybe I'm not trying hard enough? I don't know.

after reading your piece and the comment from krs, I'm a little closer to being comfortable with forgiveness.

    Thank you for posting.

As the saying goes, "To err is human, to forgive is divine." I know a few people that could learn a thing or two about forgiveness. Some folks just don't have the courage (to forgive) - while other folks, sadly, don't care (to forgive). I would like to believe that forgiveness is both given and earned - and sometimes, not in that order.

Your poem was direct and to the point. There were no hidden meanings, or clouded symbolism. Those things have their time and place when writing - and this piece needs neither of those things.

    I loved this line...
    Forgiveness is enlightenment

All to true. The absence of suffering and desire (enlightenment) cannot be had without forgiveness.

Thank you very much for sharing!
