    -------------------------------------------

The record in your head keeps on turning
    the phantom melody a knight
unyielding in his quest to protect your soul.
The waves crash as reality fades
the lyrics fight to drown the voices
creating a mixture of torturous beauty.
What is real, what is right
    do you control this illusion?
Worthless, nothing, can you do anything?
    Stop,
    children what's that sound,
it won't work you can't silence-
    another brick in the wall.
Can't breath, you will never deceive
take me down, I'm going to strawberry fields
why try to fight, useless energy spent
    nothing is real
    you cannot outrun yourself
take these broken wings and learn to-
no escape from your own mind. . .
    fly. . .
    the beat never ends,
    constant cadence to cover
    perpetual roars of desecration.

A medley of lyrics...I see Knights in White Satin, The Wall, Broken Wings, For What It's Worth, and Strawberry Fields Forever. I'm sure I missed a few in there...

I see one minor error: Line 3...
    "you soul" to "your soul".

Thank you for the trip down memory lane. Try this one on for size (a tune from the 80s)...
"She draws the curtain wide and brushes back her hair; she stands before the mirror wondering what to wear." Google the rest...cool tune...a bit melancholy.

    Thanks for sharing,

    K

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
