    dotsIt Walked Betweendots
    -------------------------------------------

A new dream arrived in mind last night,
the harbinger that brought to me,
    snow, piss and sepia tones.
    Fear itself was frozen cold,
    bent in prostration,
homage to what it could become.
    It walked between.

    Nightmares danced under the amygdala,
moonlight shadows that clawed to me,
    sweat, chills and white wash.
    Sadness itself sliced too deep,
    crying in prostitution,
forgetful of what it once was.
    It walked between.

Reality would never return with the dawn,
hollow sentiments that wept to me,
    please, forgiveness and peace.
Wrath itself fought tooth and nail,
    reveling in proclamations,
battling what little of sanity that swells.
    It walked between.

    Coleridge stalked a bewildered time,
of aught on this, my illuminated face,
    heart, soul and body.
    It walked between.
