    dotsThe Last Terminaldots
    -------------------------------------------

I got aboard a train called LIFE
Not when age was getting to me
But more when I was at my prime
Not when I tried that fruit,
Yet when I planted the tree at night
    Now that everything seems ripe
I once said I would fight with all my might
Maybe I was drunk, incoherent, or high
E=MC2 but people seem to want the whole Pi
So I as I gazed at pastures,
Cattle and the smell of manure
I knew this trip had to endure,
    Just a little further
But I knew something had me in lure
    Just once I felt deserted
    My life so obscure
    It would always send chills
    Up my epidermal
Only to find out I was dying
In a hospital bed and the memories
    Announced the last TERMINAL

This is a very striking poem. I read it three times in a row to really embrace the feeling that started to rear it's head the first read through.

The image that was left in my mind is that of a person in the Hospital Bed, wishing that they had not spent so much time wanting it all and missing out on all of the other amazing things that life has to offer.
