    -------------------------------------------

I just wanted to meet you.
I wondered if you might do.
    My imagination danced.
    Potential love and romance.
A break from this lonely road.

I just wanted to know you.
    And test the connection to.
What there was or what might be.
Are you lost or are you free?
What is the shape of your mold?

I may wear my heart on my sleeve.
But that's all I know how to be.
    My hopes may always navigate.
    Wondering about if it's fate.
Or just another pit stop on the way.

I'll always search because that's me.
And I'll always look and try to see.
If there's someone there to share the weight.
But fear one day will be too late.
Though, I doubt I'll find a thing today.

I like the emotion in this. Not very complex, a simple expression but it incorporates many feelings, fear and hope and we can all relate to it. My only suggestion is to change up the second line of the poem. It doesn't do much for the stanza and diminishes the overall emotion with a sense of desperation. Perhaps something else could work better there?
