    -------------------------------------------

i wonder if it’s all worth it-

                        wasted words falling

from my fingers like ancient empires

the struggle of a cynosure, the light of Jupiter waning between                    us

    ---

i want to wisp you up particle       by      particle and hide you in the fold of my mouth
from the thrashing storm and spit you out in revelations               that

shall seed the scorched plains with your cells
                                                                               x
                                                                          i
                                                                     n
    ---                                                       e
                                                           o
                                                      h
you will rise as the               p
and cascade the fields in iridescence                    but i

    ---

can barely make out the light of Jupiter anymore

it falls silent, into the hallow of your collarbone

in insipid breathes that linger on the lips before being dissolved as a wing

    ---

                                  and so i weep tonight

    for the dimming of light

that fell over our shoulders and was lost to the wind

What, in particular, are you lamenting? The overwhelming cascade of words that sometime struggle to express meaning? Or the fact that there are so many words, yet the one that would perfectly describes your condition doesn't seem to exist? I believe that the Phoenix rises when our lives find purpose and we touch the infinite. Otherwise our words become empty rituals that exist as exercises in phonetics and grammar. Words only become insipid when they become boring.

    At least that's my babble.
