    dotsIn That Day dots

When I’m gone you’ll see the ash-coal moon and remember my sensitivity
How I’d bow to kiss your burl knees and rise to stroke your face

You’ll sense the stars and remember how I traced your features
Among them as Van Gogh and plucked the fireflies from your eyes

In that day you’ll wear the red sky and recall when I wrapped
You in myself and bore the wolves with mine own body to hide you

You’ll find the sequoia and blush with the thought of my size and
How you conquered it to capture the cardinal of my ecstasy

You cradled it in your aviary of bone like a resplendent ruby
A heart that offers its hymn to you as the orphan offers her incandescence

I will leap in your belly with thrashing wings; you will feel me deeply:
Intracellularly, like the patter of newborn galaxies

I will rejoice in your womb and you will rejoice in the rivulet from your
Breast that gives me suck like the Virgin’s breast that suckled the Savior

    And so in that day-

When the heavens and earth incinerate like ancient empires,
You shall see me standing in testimony of you,
In love with you, having withstood

The end- the eternal lover that loved you with an everlasting affection,
He that burned the vehement heat

    With our fire
