This morning I found a blue-jay hiding behind the frost of dawn
It starkly passed through the gangly trees, a beautiful gift in Autumn-
The blue sapphire of summer soaring among the beige to remind me of the coming of the colors-
Soon the chatoyant flowers shall march- and the wheeling wind
That pushes the sun over our bodies, through our hair, between our teeth will blow-
I see your eyes in that ball of sky; Two papaya seeds
Whizzing about her head on the hunt- blue lightning streaking across the snowy ley
For white capped acorns strewn about the shivering logs
She moved as elegant as you- non-stop and
Sexy
Like the cerulean incandescence of fire
-Her diligence evokes your efficiency-
The way you tether electricity and weave the bolts of purple in your hair
Your
Tiny body pulling and banging and twisting and tightening the engines into submission
I see your hands in her feet – as she clasps the nut
-bim bim bim-
She strikes the acorn with her black bill to reveal the sphere of oak wrapped with light
She has style-
A mosaic of royal blue and white, sky blue and teal, all framed by black
Her wings stoic as stones, her song bright as the snowcapped moon
-And, baby-
You have style- it’s in the way you:
Smile- style
Sing- style
Sit- style
Stand- style
Serve- style
Sleep- style
-The way you love me-
Style
