Life without fear (Nirbhau) Fear of losing. Fear of failing. Fear of follies. Fear of unknown. Fear of unseen. Fear of situations. Fear of future. Fear is awful. Fear is dreadful. Fear is stressful. Fear is the foe. Win the fray. Faith in your spirit. Victorious over the foe to attain the state of Nirbhau ( fearlessness) to have a productive, constructive, serene and fearless mind. |
I once heard that fear could be as crippling as an injury. For reason I find it to be strikingly true. From where I am standing, which is a relatively new place, to be honest, I feel that fear is one trying to boycott one self. A habit that was unreasonably acquired along the way. Fear seems to be a state of mind, clearly self- created .... Quite recently, I have made some choices probably deemed unthinkable some time ago but when I'm on the verge of making such decisions something, old fragments of who I used to be seemed to creep in. However, I have had the presence of mind to see what really matters and just act without illusions holding me back. I guess that big part of the anxiety comes from one's background. Thinking about those nasty "what ifs" (I remember having even written a few pieces about it when I was younger) which are interspersed with one's fantasy we call "future" that doesn't even exit. "If only" ("what if" evil cousin) one could just live in the present most of our angst would melt and loony bins would be emptier, at any rate Kind regards, Ethan Brody | Posted on 2017-03-01 00:00:00 | by Ethan Brody | [ Reply to This ] | Fear is the mind killer. Is it not? Fear can stop you in you in your tracks before you even take a step. And what would life be without taking steps? It poisons the mind...the heart...and even the soul. It blinds us from seeing the possibilities (good and sometimes not so good)...the things that could be, or even should be. Life without chances is not life at all. | I enjoyed reading "Life without fear". It speaks to something that all of us could have a little more of...courage. For no person is totally without fear... Nirbhau, Nirvair - Without Fear, Without Hate. Is that correct? From what text does this come? I would enjoy reading a little more about it. Thank you for sharing!
