    Eternal Lives

Eternal are the lives, lived for others.
Eternal are the lives, that served others.
Eternal are the lives, that touched others.

Eternal are the lives, lived with immaculate and unconditional love.
Eternal are the lives, lived with wisdom and virtues.
Eternal are the lives, lived with strength and sacrifices.

Eternal lives are the good deeds and the legacy left behind.
Eternal lives are alive in millions of hearts.
Eternal lives are honored, celebrated and cherished till eternity.

This feels like a prayer or meditation on the virtues of compassion/selflessness. My first thought is that all desire to help others should also be tempered with wisdom, not simply to know how to help, but also to know who to help. It is easy to say that everyone needs help, but it is quite another thing to plant a seed with the aid that is offered so the individual who is lifted to his or her feet can continue to stand and become strong rather than dependent. That is quite the tightrope to walk. May you find your path.
