The glass half full; half empty
Personal perception I suppose
Never mind, the fact there is no glass; only the illusion there is one
Only a glass with vodka would I consider a glass half full
All the rest are empty
My perception tells me
I ache for the skies above to rain drops of vodka
To then have those drops touch my lips
I contemplate the possibilities of coming home to find a smorgasbord of drugs
How long would my contended disposition last?
Would I stay on Cloud-9, or only be chasing it?
My mind wonders around such unlikely events, nevertheless, I am consumed!
So close to knowing and believing the truth
Yet, not close enough, the lie still lingers close within
Darkness is never far behind....
