    -------------------------------------------

The glass half full; half empty
    Personal perception I suppose
Never mind, the fact there is no glass; only the illusion there is one

Only a glass with vodka would I consider a glass half full
    All the rest are empty
    My perception tells me

I ache for the skies above to rain drops of vodka
To then have those drops touch my lips
I contemplate the possibilities of coming home to find a smorgasbord of drugs

How long would my contended disposition last?
Would I stay on Cloud-9, or only be chasing it?
My mind wonders around such unlikely events, nevertheless, I am consumed!

So close to knowing and believing the truth
Yet, not close enough, the lie still lingers close within
    Darkness is never far behind....

Sometimes a lie can be a good thing. It becomes most difficult when trying to lie to oneself. It could be easy to fall back into old habits. To lie to yourself and tell yourself that you'd rather give in and debauch. A good lie would be to tell yourself that you have no desire to. Perhaps it will become easier with application and time. Resist girl, don't lose the sobriety you've worked so long to maintain!!
