       Holding hands while I write.

It's like driving a motor car
    I slip in
It fits me like a glove
And then starts to start, no, rather it roars to life.

    I confess it frightens me
I really want someone to hold my hand
I love to hold someones hand in the movies
And I want someone to hold my hand when I write poetry.

I deeply need to be soothed
And what better than a warm hand
Soothing and speaking hand to hand
Bringing the words up, then springing from my warm muzzle.

A bit meta in a sense... you tend to write about your process... last two of writing... others of being.

Almost like a retrospective of what you've just done.

I don't think I want that but it's a nice sentiment. I'm glad you feel safe to write while someone watches and holds your hand. I used to share my work with lovers. I used to read their stuff and we would talk about it. I don't have that now and that is missed. But even then, I needed my "space" for the actual process of writing.

This does give me something to ponder, though.

    Thanks for that.
