    What was his name,
    that made whispers,
stasis is what we’re all in-
    lack of purpose,
    slave to basis in-
    hubris of material sarcophagus,
    cheap and broken,
    frozen within.

    What was his name,
    that made whispers,
    void of ink to explain-
    not even notation,
    history will inevitably avoid-
    our stilted decadence,
    carrion and deceit,
    discrete bargain.

    What was his name,
    that made whispers,
    war of philosophical lights-
    flashes from snuffed candles,
    dishonest to the core-
    Boogeymen of modern man,
    sowing salts and seed,
weeds of free will in humanity.

    What was his name,
    no more-

This is wonderful and I love it. Every line is dripping with different and complex emotion. The first stanza is my favorite. That is the most beautiful and darkest way to convey human society that I have ever read. Pure poetic genius.
This hits my heart like a canon ball shot point blank.
I walk the sidelines as well.

Thanks for sharing. It was truly dark and beautiful.

Which came first, the name or the meaning of the name?
My own name is Lloyd, meaning "gray haired one"... ultimately that became true.

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
