My Irish Harp
I can hear you from afar
no Prince or Princess am I
just an old toad in a lily pond.
How sweet your strings ring out
to those that have ears to hear you
ripple across this pond I live do play.
Oh please Magic Harp, play once more.
Some that live here have become too deaf
I await the strings the sound and your love.
My dear Irish Harp, take me home with you
a place where dreams come true, I do believe
the home of brave souls Irelands Emerald Isles.
The Irish once believed in such things, you know!
Grant this old toad one lullaby of your strings echo
the sounds Heaven commissioned play My Irish Harp
