                   Consider the context of current.
Why such a thing should exist?
From what intelligence - life form struck.
Filling a complex and requisite requirement
                   for identity.
Waking itself. shaking itself in little droplets,

                   Traveling. Availing -      welling.
                   layer on layer
                             Or lying supinely flat

who knows why water makes land?

I’ve just read all your poems. I like that reading someone’s catalog is a bit like reading a novel. The story ebbs and flows. There are the conflicts and climaxes and the moments that move the plot forward and sometimes resonate the strongest when we look back on the entire story.

I came back to this one. I wanted to say something helpful or profound, but I feel like I’d be more interested in saying how I liked it. The last line rang for me. And I had to go back and read it again and again. And I realized I was reading it wrong, but I was glad I had first read it wrong because it created a different set of connotations. I was thinking of electricity and current related to that. That was just the first connection my mind made (it is tired, mind) and so there were little electrical impulses coloring the reading.

I like that when I read your poems there is a sense of my understanding them. I forget that my mind is very different when I am not communicating with others much, and sometimes I think the way I see the world is just the average of human vision. Then I open my mouth and remember my differences. Anyway. I feel like I’m part of a norm(al) when I read your poems. I understand thier universe and I appreciate that. Of course, I probably understand them differently than you intend, but there’s something there anyhow—that I get in a way that is meaningful.

I won’t say what I get here. Just that I like the way you lean toward scientific concepts to illuminate private feeling. It creates an abstract sense that simultaneously makes the understanding of that abstract concept very human. Not sure that makes sense.

    I really enjoyed this.
