    Description:
       Awareness.

    I've been following the country for years.
    I personally have brief conversations with Iranians
    who keep me up to date.
    As of recently they have told me that the Saudis
    and their brutal coalition are conducting killings
    while expelling the Ethopian migrants;
    who suffer under devastating conditions.
    But years ago, I made the choice to write about
    what was going on in northern Yemen.

    You might know them as
    legitimate combatants.
    You might hear of them as
    civilians killed during operation.
    *   *   *
    Soul windows of the black veils
    say you do not overstand
    The concept of No Attraction
    *   *   *
    As funds for planes
    outweighed funds for meals,
    a video played before me...
    Showed some children
    could not move
    their malnourished limbs
    as if they had lied down asking why
    Why this - What have I done -
    *   *   *
    Forced to bow down to men
    who show that they do not fear Allah,
    catalysts for carried kitchen knives
    Forced to open their legs
    for the global penetration dagger
    of covert grinning democracy
    just to have rights to decision
    in a dried up toppled nation,
    dying from internal bleeding.
    Water mission daughters of hunger,
    stripped from their sacrificial mothers-
    for a new blunder on the psyche
    Marriage launched on the younger
    *   *   *
    Women dreaming to be translators
    Taiz women of arms demonstrate
    to avenge their mothers, fathers,
    loved ones and protect established men
    And young girls dream to be something
    in the unforgiving world
    where voices are heard
    since there is never enough nerve
    to stand against as one must,
    enduring in order to eat.
    *   *   *
    Diaries capture hidden askings
    of anything but homelessness
    Told, they are beautiful
    as strangers in their own land
    How could one have fallen in love
    more than falling to the ground
    in the narrowest streets
    because the world still cannot see
    that this was the hardest of soil
    to be a woman on, with a mind,
    with a determination, with a cause.
    You can place analysts,
    operatives and air bases there
    but no water to quench them all?
    They can bring a future into society
    but cannot be a full witness to shape it?
    *   *   *
    Cos' you force them! -
    You force them.
    You ignore them.
    You forget them
    with a breast cancer ribbon
    half the world away,
    ripe governmental denial
    where reality wrecks a lemon orchard.
    Where young girls face a judgement
    for what a khat chewing rapist did,
    and a day begins with abuse
    and they pray in secrecy
    mainly not ever being believed
    not ever allowed to holler help
    So what, in programs
    they can temporarily benefit

               To the leading women.

    Take the taped paper
    off of your mouths
    so that you may succeed.
    Warm smile, you refrained
    from covering your face this day.
    It irks more that my smile
    can leave too soon;
    Because you all must always
    smell corruption as state secrets
    when a gain is underway for you.
    You would have to be rott,
    holding up the arms of your sisters
    being change in a moving museum.

    Hani, the local convenient store
    owner down the block asked.
    'Rashad, you do not live there.
    It is whole nother world, yes?
    Why show the slightest concern
    for these mass population of women?'

    Well... Alas, in America
    a designed man-gina isn't received.
    I'm afraid that had they challenged
    the discord of intelligence
    which stamped American militarism
    to forego endless conflicts;
    portrayed as insurgents tops -
    Beasts hype the proxy
    So you know I'm not hypebeasting
    It is that type of warfare
    that has occurred all over history
    to where it must be addressed.
    *   *   *
    Though you wonder
    is it my place to
    when I've been use to
    economic polarization -
    *   *   *
    Now the national angel's breath
    swells, to downplay
    bonafide American exceptionalism
    like another Pepe the frog pedo-smile.
    *   *   *
    While children play amongst rubble.
    *   *   *
    Spreading - that deep,,,
