Just one hour till we land and rush through Joburg, luggage & a sixth Sense of each other’s presence. A desperate Reflection in between- are you the one? Should I be patient, full of grace and foreknowledge? - or should I take the silent Vow and put the distance in- so insurmountable for both- of acquiescence |
This asks an important question but leaves us looking for more of the story. I must wonder if something is often lost in translation from an original work but then I generally prefer something in rhyme also. German is extremely precise while English very often offers no end of possible meaning issues, sometimes useful but often gang aft agley. I had a German friend read on of my poems wherein I shifted between German and English and he seemed to think it was ok. The title is "Germ", which carries double meaning. That was from my more creative days. Lloyd | Posted on 2022-02-21 00:00:00 | by Blue Monk | [ Reply to This ] | |
