    dotsBird's Eyedots

I am perched upon this branch
    Within the mist of darkness
Voicing what is inside of me
In hopes you will hear my call

I know I am alone here
    I feel it deep down
    Listening to my thoughts
    My words are cries
    Feeling within the depths
    My heart beats are tears
I am incomplete without you here
This black bird takes off into the sky
The view is lonely as I search for you
I need you and I think of the day
When you come to me and warm
    My cold blood

Super sweet. I loved the crisp imagery you managed to squeeze in. Truly a brilliant poem. Makes you feel- euphoric…
    Peace, love and nuclear war

Very very true. It taps into the emotions that are just on the surface, and leave you knowing it runs deep and burns passionately. You know yuo've got talent when you can write about love in the form of a bird. Well done, you are creative and imaginitive, and I love it.
