    When does a partner become a friend?
    A question to ask I think
    When does the story come to the end?
    When the writer runs out of ink?

    Or is it when his passion dies?
    Some say writers block
    Or maybe when time stops its flight
    A countdown on a clock

    So should the novel be thrown away?
    Ready to start a new
    Or is this another a chapter now?
    Beginning of number two

    The writer will never forget his love
    For the characters within
    But his passion to create new tales
    Sadly has gone dim

    So when does a partner become a friend?
    The answer is I think
    Not when the glass has been emptied
    But when there’s no desire to drink

      What ana mazing poem. This is a favorites by far. I can really relate to this, and I mean relate beyond belief. I've been thinking baout letting go for so long now because its just not...there anymore:O( Oh well life goes on..

    The second line in that stanza seems just a little off. Throws your flow a bit, but maybe its just me. Anyway great write.

      great one dude. especialy the ending. perfect rhyme and great words. i think everyone can relate. if sparks dont catch right they can go out quickly. sorry for your loss but good work.
